Remember these tips when washing your authentic guayabera: 

  • When machine washing, use a delicate cycle.
  • Whether hand- or machine-washing, use soap made for delicate fabric.
  • Do not use a dryer to dry a guayabera. Instead, use a towel or hang it in the sun.
  • Use liquid soap or lemon juice to remove stains.
  • Iron while the guayabera is still damp, and protect detailing with a cotton cloth.
